UN SPEECH: DECADE OF ACTION ON GLOBAL GOALS

I was invited to address the UN as part of its SDG Moment, which brought together activists including Malala alongside heads of state and business leaders to push for urgent action to deliver the Global Goals. With time running out, I argued for fresh and bold ideas to combat inequality and poverty. For example, governments providing a basic social floor to all citizens, radical action to reach net zero emissions, and an overhaul of shareholder capitalism so the benefits of success are shared more widely.
