DEBATE: BUSINESS AND BUILDING BACK BETTER

I joined the B-Team director Halla Tomasdottir and several corporate leaders for this important conversation about how the private sector can help to shape a future that leaves no one behind, as part of the UN’s SDG Business Forum. While some thoughtful businesses are leading the way, other less responsible companies are worsening inequalities through poor labour conditions and poverty pay. To help deliver positive change at scale, I pushed for businesses to be progressive allies for systemic reforms, such as fair and transparent taxation, and looking again at the shareholder-first model and how value is shared.
