Sky News: Kay Burley at Breakfast

2 December 2019 | Danny Sriskandarajah

In the week that leaders gathered in Madrid for international climate talks, I spoke to Sky News’ Kay Burley about how climate change impacts from cyclones to droughts are already affecting the poorest who have done least to cause the climate emergency. Oxfam’s new research found that in the last decade, climate-fuelled disasters forced one person every two seconds from their home. Oxfam is calling on rich countries to do more to reduce their own emissions and to provide finance to help poorer countries cope now and adapt for the future. In this clip, Kay asked me about US dropping out of the Paris Climate Accord.
