Opinion: New instincts for a new era

I was invited to reflect on leadership for this edition of Rhodes Scholar magazine. I shared some thoughts on what leadership could look like for this new era, in order to rise to the challenge of responding adequately to the climate crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. For me, this comes down to four broad areas: paying as much attention to how you work as what you do; seeking to shift power in order to challenge discrimination and create equal societies; overhauling structures to create an accountability revolution; and daring to dream big – if ever there was a disruptive opportunity to transform our societies and economies to be more progressive, then this is it.
