The Telegraph: UK not meeting its commitments to deliver the sustainable development goals

I was asked to comment on a new report by BOND assessing the UK’s progress on playing its part to deliver the collective UN Global Goals to beat poverty and inequalities. While the UK played an important role in shaping the SDGs, it has spent recent years back-sliding on its commitments to help the poorest. With climate change, conflict and Covid ravaging regions like east Africa we need a renewed focus on the most marginalised communities if we are to have any chance of achieving the goals.
