LETTER TO THE TIMES: EMERGENCY VISAS FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES

While it is welcome that the UK is offering sanctuary to people fleeing conflict in Ukraine, the visa process is causing delays, distress and frustration. I joined with the heads of the Refugee Council, British Red Cross, Save the Children and International Rescue Committee to urge the Government to immediately waive visa requirements for Ukrainian refugees, as other European countries have done, so they can find safety here more quickly.
