Oxfam and the People’s Vaccine Alliance brought together leading experts – Rt. Hon. Helen Clark, Dr Rowan Williams, Dr Dan Poulter MP, Fatima Hassan from South Africa’s Health Justice Initiative and Richard Burge from the London Chamber of Commerce – to discuss what more the UK and other governments can be doing to vaccinate the world – and the particular importance of ambitious collective action at the UK-hosted G7 summit in Cornwall. In this lively debate, speakers made the case for Covid19 vaccines to be treated as a global public good, and for more international cooperation to ensure the world is better prepared for the next pandemic.
